Shibazakura

Although they are not technically cherry blossoms, they are pink and grow in abundance blooming just after the  Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms, and are called "shibazakura" in Japanese which translates to "lawn cherry blossoms". They usually are in peak bloom from mid-late May.
