Bake Neko Matsuri (Supernatural Cat Festival) is a Halloween Parade that anyone can join in on by signing up in advance, and showing up in your most creative cat-themed costume! The reason why it has a cat theme is because of where it is located, which is near the home of the cat from Natsume Soseki's novel titled "I am a Cat". If you don't want to dress up, you are also of course allowed to attend to watch from the sidelines and get some fun photos.
Where: Its a 1-minute walk from Kagurazaka station Exit 1 or an 8-minute walk from Ushigome Kagurazaka Station Exit A3
When: Mid-October (please check their website around August for exact dates)
How much: 500JPY to participate in the parade, free to watch.
Website: http://bakeneko.oops.jp/English/
Check out the video we made of this festival on our YouTube channel!
