The Nakanobu Nebuta festival gives you a small glimpse into what the bigger version of this festival (The Aomori Nebuta Festival) would look like. Some of the colorful hand-painted floats from Aomori, which are called "nebuta" in Japanese, are carried down Nakanobu Skip Road which is an enclosed shopping street. There are also large drums, flute players, and eccentric dancers that make their way through the parade. Usually there are food stalls as there would be at most Japanese festivals, but they were not running in 2022 due to the pandemic.
