Although the Japanese name of the festival is technically the "dragon boat festival" there are no boats and it is celebrated by viewing the around 1000 carp streamers hung around the banks of the Minamiasa River in Nagabusa, Hachioji! There are stalls serving typical Japanese festival food as well as booths selling handmade crafts by local residents.
