Lake Miyagase 宮ヶ瀬湖 is a man-made water reservoir surrounded by mountains and forests, and is a popular spot for hiking, canoeing, and camping. On the western side of the lake you will find Miyagase Lakeside Park, which is a visitor center on Route 64 with restaurants, souvenir shops, a spot to run around and lay down in the grass, and a breathtaking view of the mountains and the Mizunogodaitsuri Suspension Bridge. There is a space to park for only 300 yen (or free if you eat at one of the restaurants with a parking coupon).

Address: 940-17 Miyagase, Kiyokawa, Aiko District, Kanagawa 243-0111
To the right (where the big teddy bear is) is the entrance to the restaurant.
The inside of the souvenir shop has been decorated with dolls and toys as well!
On the outside and to the left is a vending machine nestled into the building.
There are many other restaurants in the area serving things like soba, Japanese curry, kakigori, and more!
When you're done exploring the restaurants, you can take a break and enjoy the view at the top of the 120 step staircase. At the bottom you can bring your dog (which needs to be on a leash) or have your children run around in the large open grassy space. You are also free to take a walk along the pathway and on the pedestrian-only suspension bridge.
