Koinobori at Mine Hakusan Shrine

Updated: Apr 15

"Koinobori" (鯉のぼり) are carp streamers that are hung around Japan in celebration of "Kodomo No Hi" (こどもの日) Children's Day. Children's day is celebrated on May 5th.

In celebration of Children's Day, Mine Hakusan Shrine creates a walkway of koinobori (carp streamers). It is a small shrine, but it's a beautiful sight to see!

Where: Mine Hakusan Shrine 31 Higashiminemachi, Ota City, Tokyo 145-0074

When: They do not have a website, but I would say go closer to Children's Day (which is on the 5th) so anytime between May 1-5.

How much: Free
