Awaya Sobei creates both traditional and modern wagashi that you can purchase from their storefronts in Nerima, Tokyo. They sell seasonal wagashi, collaboration wagashi with Sanrio, and their own original wagashi like these adorable cat-themed sweets!
Pictured are the cat dorayaki (two pancakes with an adzuki bean filling), and two cat-themed Manju (a bun-like texture on the outside filled with adzuki bean paste). While the flavors are traditional, the shapes are original and very cute!
