Myōraku-ji (長尾山妙楽寺) is a temple in Kawasaki that's been given the name "Hydrangea Temple" by the locals. It gets quite busy around hydrangea season (mid-June to early July) and has 1000 hydrangeas with 28 different varieties! There is a bell tower in the center of the temple grounds which you can go up inside of and walk around to see the vast collection of hydrangeas. There is also a pathway on an incline that you can climb up for this gorgeous view pictured in the photo above!
Where: Myōraku-ji (長尾山妙楽寺) 〒214-0023 Kanagawa, Kawasaki, Tama Ward, Nagao, 3 Chome−9−3 妙楽寺
How much: Free

The pathways here are very small, but everyone was polite and patient while waiting for each other to take photos.

A variety of hydrangea that I have never seen before! It looks like a small and fuzzy cherry blossom flower!

Up these steps is the temple's graveyard.
