Tucked away in the traditional Japanese-style garden beside the main area of Matsuchiyama Shoden is a single kawazu sakura tree. This is not a very popular spot, so you can enjoy it in peace. From the entrance to the shrine you come upon a balcony that looks over the garden and you can see Tokyo Skytree in the background as well as the kawazu sakura tree. There are a few ways down with signs that ask you to watch your step so be careful while walking down to the bottom where the tree is located.

I recommend going in the afternoon when the sun is facing the other direction. I went in the morning and the sun was shining way too bright away from Tokyo Skytree so I wasn't able to get a good shot with my phone or camera unfortunately but I posted this so that you can get an idea of what it looks like. I will try again next year!
The single tree is very beautiful and it's kind of interesting how it's surrounded by mostly dead trees and grass which makes it stand out more.
Beside the tree is a small pond with koi fish.
what a lovely and peaceful setting. wish i was there!
