Sagami-Ko Park (県立 相模湖公園) is located in Sagamihara city in Kanagawa prefecture, and is a great destination for a simple day trip from Tokyo. You can enjoy the lush scenery of rolling hills covered with trees (which look amazing during sakura season, and in the fall), as well as step into a time-warp of showa era retro goodness in the Japanese arcades.

Boat Rentals
As soon as you enter Sagamiko Park, you will see bright colored swan, dinosaur, and whale shaped boats floating around the enclosed lake. There are many places to sit and relax around Sagamiko Park to take in the beautiful scenery. You can also, of course, go to one of the two boat rental establishments to either rent a small paddle boat, or ride in one of the bigger boats with the other tourists.

At this location you can rent paddle boats, or take a ride on their giant whale boat.

At this location you can also rent paddle boats, or take a ride on their giant swan boat.
Arcade Games
Both boat rental establishments have their own arcade areas in the entrances where you can find tons of vintage arcade games and children's rides that still work.
Food
There are a few restaurants in the area but be aware that a lot of them may be closed either permanently or just randomly for the day. On this day, we went to Kawachiya (河内屋) which has a large menu of Japanese food such as soba, udon, and katsudon.

For something sweet you can head over to Meimu (迷夢) which serves ice cream and kakigori.
