Approximately two hours away from central Tokyo you will find Machida's expansive and lush garden which boasts 500 types of dahlia in a variety of colors and shapes. There's a gift store with handmade items made by locals, as well as many plants and seedlings to take home. The garden also happens to be a place of employment for people with cognitive disabilities, who maintain the garden and sell their handmade ceramic works.
