Here is a collection of my favorite things to do around Halloween in Tokyo!
1. Try Pumpkin and Coffin-Shaped Wagashi
Baikate in Kagurazaka sells seasonal wagashi all year round, and their Halloween-themed wagashi does not disappoint! This nerikiri wagashi is made of bean paste and has been sculpted into the shape of a Halloween pumpkin and a coffin.

2. Get Some Halloween Goshuin
Goshuin 御朱印 are seal stamps that visitors to Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples collect in a book called a goshuincho 御朱印帳. The calligraphy in the seal stamp is usually handwritten directly into the goshuincho. While most shrines have traditional and standard-looking seals, some create stamps with motifs reflecting the current season's traditions like festivals and flowers.

3. Attend the Bake Neko Festival
Every year in the month of October the Bake Neko Festival hosts a parade that invites attendees to come in their best cat-themed costumes! It is a small festival, but it's fun to see how creative people can get with their costumes.

4. Enjoy Sanrio Puroland's Halloween Event
Although Sanrio Puroland is geared more towards children, it's completely normal for young adults to enjoy all this theme park has to offer. There are small rides, games, selfie rooms and Sanrio-themed food and desserts to try! For Halloween, Sanrio created the Puroween event, where you can enjoy Halloween decorations and live shows, and the characters even dress in costumes!

5. Get Some Halloween-Themed Doughnuts
Floresta Nature Doughnuts is known for their adorable doughnut designs and their collaboration doughnuts with companies like Sanrio and Sumikkogurashi. They have a handful of locations in Tokyo, and their supply depends on the location so make sure to check their website to see if they're serving the special seasonal doughnuts. They even have Sanrio character Halloween doughnuts but it wasn't at the location that I went to.
